“What is the motivation for your Mission?” you might wonder. Well, we’re glad you asked. There are lots of reasons, but the greatest one is that our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
- Picture in your mind a severely wounded veteran struggling to recover from traumatic war injuries. Among the over 66,000 veterans living in Hays and Travis Counties, many such heroes are having their bodies and lives made as whole as possible at the Center for the Intrepid at Brooke Army Hospital in San Antonio.
- Think of what it would have been like when you were a young person to be abused and discarded. Many such seemingly forgotten boys ages 11-17, who are wards of the state, reside at the Burke Center for Youth in Driftwood, Texas. There they receive 24/7 therapeutic care and on-site education under the guidance of staff and mentors.
- Parents of mentally handicapped children simply can’t do it all just by themselves with no help. Special Olympics provides a measure of relief to loving parents and inspiration to these exceptional children of God.
- Need to hear more? Yes, there are many more needs we address, like various levels of scholarships for local graduating high school seniors, help for women in pregnancy crisis, help for residents of our community in need of housing and meal assistance, and so much more.
If God is touching your heart like He touched us, then don’t wait – join our Mission today with your generous donation, and if you’re able, please make it a monthly commitment in order to Help Us to Help Others!
